The volunteers sterilized shelter dogs in Lower Base. Humane Society volunteer from Guam says the end goal is for an island like Saipan to have a trap, sterilize and release program to reduce issues of overpopulation plaguing the Commonwealth. Last May, Animal Balance and Humane Society conducted a spaying and neuter clinic for all dogs.
A CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER FINDS HIMSELF BACK IN COURT FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES
38-year-old Ivan Jones Castro was arrested on Wednesday, November 18 after 3:30 in the afternoon and charged with Updating Information and Offenses Involving Minors. Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio ordered Castro to register for the Sex Offender Registry immediately. In 2003, Castro plead guilty to Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree.
