THE U–S AIR FORCE'S OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP, THE LONGEST RUNNING HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN THE WORLD SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1952, BRINGS GOODS TO SOME OF REMOTE ISLANDS IN THE PACIFIC.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP PARTICIPANTS FROM YOKOTA AIR FORCE BASE IN JAPAN MET AT ANDERSON AIR FORCE BASE ON GUAM TO DISCUSS THE DAY'S FLIGHT PLAN.

BRAIN TETUTEB PALACIOS APPEARED BEFORE CHIEF JUDGE RAMONA MANGLONA FOR HIS INTIAL APPEARANCE FRIDAY WHERE HE PLEADED NOT GUILTY TO ONE COUNT OF CYBERSTALKING.

 

IN SUBMITTING ITS COMMENTS ABOUT THE REVISED DIVERT AIRFIELD DOCUMENTS TO THE PACIFIC AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS, ACTING GOVERNOR RALPH TORRES INSISTS THE U–S AIR FORCE REMOVE THE TWO ALTERNATIVES SUGGESTING PLACING A DIVERT AIRFIELD ON THE ISLAND OF SAIPAN AND LEASE PROPERTY.

IN A DECEMBER 11 LETTER TO THE U–S AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVES, TORRES SAYS THE ADMINISTRATION IS READY TO WORK WITH THE AIR FOCE TO BUILD THE CAPACITY FOR A DIVERT ON TINIAN.  HOWEVER, THE ADMINISTRATION NOTES THE UNITED STATES HAS NOT HELD UP ITS END OF THE COVENANT AND TECHNICAL AGREEMENT BY INCLUDING IN PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS THE NEED TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL PUBLIC PROPERTY ON SAIPAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR DEFENSE PURPOSES.
