BANK CUSTOMERS HACKED--FBI SAYS INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING

FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK ON BEACH ROAD WAS BUSY THIS MORNING WITH CUSTOMERS CONCERNED THEY HAD THEIR MONEY STOLEN BY ACCOUNT HACKERS.  CUSTOMERS REPORT THEIR STATEMENTS SHOWED NETWORK WITHDRAWALS WITH ROUTING NUMBERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD INCLUDING CHINA AND THAILAND.

HOUSE BILL 19-72 HEADS TO THE SENATE AFTER UNANIMOUSLY PASSING THE HOUSE MONDAY.  THE BILL PROPOSES TO PLACE A 5 DOLLAR PER POUND EXCISE TAX ON BETEL NUT.  30 PERCENT OF THE REVENUES RAISED WILL GO INTO A SPECIAL ACCOUNT FOR ORAL CANCER EDUCATION.
