THE ISLAND MOURNS THE PASSING OF A SITTING GOVERNOR

Governor Eloy Songao Inos passed away Tuesday morning Chamorro Standard time at the age of 66.  The Administration received word at 9:42 a.m.  The Administration tells us he passed away in Seattle.  Ralph Torres was sworn in as Governor and Victor Hocog was sworn in as Lt. Governor.

Eloy Inos was the 7th person to serve as Governor of the CNMI.  He leaves behind a long legacy of accomplishments in the public and private sectors.
