THE CHINESE CONSULATE IS VISITING SAIPAN THIS WEEK AND MEETING WITH VARIOUS GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS TO DISCUSS THE WELFARE OF THE CHINESE COMMUNITY IN THE C–N–M–I.

FOUR MEMBERS OF THE CHINESE CONSULATE ARRIVED ON SAIPAN LAST NIGHT AND MET WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY THIS MORNING...ALONG WITH ACTING GOVERNOR RALPH TORRES.

 

 

MEMBERS FROM THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE AND A MILITARY CONSULTANT MEET WITH TINIAN OFFICIALS AND THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICE REVIEW BOARD TO WORK ON RESEARCH REGARDING A SECTION 213 REPORT FOR THE ANTICIPATED C–N–M–I JOINT MILITARY TRAINING THROUGH THE U–S MARINE CORPS.


MAYOR J–P SAN NICHOLAS SAYS HE HAD A MEET AND GREET WITH THE ACTING BRANCH CHIEF OF THE NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARKS PROGRAM WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE AMERICAN MEMORIAL PARK JIM RICHARDSON AND FORMER U–S NAVY COMMANDER AND SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF H–D–R ED LYNCH. 

 

ONE OF THE FOUNDING MEMBERS OF THE MATUA COUNCIL FOR CHAMORRO ADVANCEMENT CONTINUES TO EXPRESS HER CONCERNS OVER THE CONSTRUCTION AT BEST SUNSHINE'S GRAND MARIANA SITE.
