DOCOMO ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR A SECOND UNDERSEA CABLE WITH THE CNMI GOVERNMENT PLEDGING 3 MILLION DOLLARS IN SUPPORT
Atisa is the Chamorro word for accelerate. It's also the name of Docomo's planned undersea cable, 175 miles in length and will connect Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. Docomo says the entire project will cost $25 million.
